Andy is a Brampton, Ontario native who grew up playing for Brampton Battalion Minor Hockey (OMHA, now Credit River Capitals). Drafted in the 3rd round by the Belleville Bulls (OHL), he spent four years playing for the Bulls before going to the Plymouth Whalers (OHL). He was selected 150th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL), and spent seven years playing professionally both in North America and in Europe. Andy is currently the head coach of the Halton Hurricanes (OMHA) U14AAA team, and has previously been an assistant coach for top teams at the U15AAA and U16AAA levels for three years.
